Certified Copy

I decided to watch the movie at 2 O'clock in the morning. from the first seconds I figured out that this movie is not like Kiarostami's others. the whole environment captured me and carried me away beside Juliet to the alleys of France.
We met an author there, who had been recently succeeded in selling his latest book. It was about the copied versions of masterpieces of great artists. He is a district person and has the world of his own.A world in which no one has the value to involve, to have a role, to be loved!
The whole film rounds about the conversations and duels of Elle and James.
In one restaurant, they are just author and fan, in the other scene, they are a couple and in the end they are just far away from each other.
Kiarostami wants to show the innocent feelings of women, which has been taken for granted these days.Women, in today's life have become men's passion's slaves. not more!
Kiarostami wants to show that no difference you are an Iranian, or French or American, If you were a woman, you will have a fragile life.(we have some exceptions!!)
I can confidently declare that in all the dialogues which are like duels, Juliet has defeated William. all her mimics, gestures, smiles, tones, all of them are in the right place and at the right point. I think it is because of Kiarostami's rehearsal of getting direct acts from actresses in his previous movie Shirin (2008).

On and on, the film was finished at 4 O'clock. I was surprised when the final cast was shown. I just had this in my mind that it has only elapsed 20 minutes of the it and how fast the movie ended but then I realized that Kiarostami once again has hypnotized me and taken me to his outstanding, special world.

Watch it when you need to see beauties and awfulnesses of a couple's life.

Goodbye Lenin

I don't know, have u ever watched German movies? have you noticed what a solid structure they have? Goodbye Lenin is one of them. a historical drama story. it happens in 1990, when the Berlin was separated to two parts through a wall, the symbolic boundary between democracy and Communism during the cold war. Alex Kerner (played by Daniel Bruhl) has opposite political views from his mother (Christiane) which is an ardent supporter of Socialist Unity Party of Germany that indicated her Communism and Marxist-Leninism ideologies. Alex's participating in an anti-government demonstration cause Christiane a heart attack and she falls into coma. she awakes but after 8 months and many events happened when she was at coma including Berlin wall's fall. her son, Alex, according to her doctor advise which says that she shouldn't face any shock because of her heart attack potential, isolate his mother from any news and let Christiane to stay in her beloved illusion country.

if you haven't watched it yet i advise you do not read rest of this post!

the ending is really wonderful. Christiane dies and with her death that ideology fades away, which is the title of movie, Goodbye Lenin, it could be Goodbye Marx or even Goodbye Communism!

i really appreciate Wolfgang Becker's job, director of this film, which has 13 award winning and 14 nominations, you can follow that on imdb! it also has a high-grade original music by Yann Tiersen, French minimalist musician and composer.

strongly recommended!

The Da Vinci Code

the Da vinci code, what a grate movie it was, the movie cycles around the Christianity and its history, a new look to the religion combined whit a story of a girl (Sophie Neveu) and a symbologist played by Tom Hanks which is told to find a murderer according to his knowledge. as the movie goes on the mysterious aspect of it attracts you more and more. the ending wasn't fantastic but it was believable at least it didn't annoyed me.

the visual effects are good and they don't distract you but they help to understand the deep side of story because "this movie assumes audience members will be smart", said Lawrence Toppman.

the movie was banned in many countries to appease christian groups, but i think this movie is just fiction and we should stand on our believes and if this movie can change them to nothing, then its not a believe!

The Return (Vozvrashenie)

Has it occurred to you to have a dream in which you kill the most beloved person in your life?
The most beloved person who You also hate him the most!

The theme of this movie is like this, but a little more tragic. It's the story of a family made of a mother, two sons, and their grandmother. the story begins with the argument of the brothers, One of them wants to be powerful, rich, and popular but the other is the most opposite one. but they love each other!

one they, after they were following each other, they find out that their never-seen-before-dad has returned home.
the next day, they began a journey to a waterfall with their dad to do some fishing and the story begins...
I don't want to spoil the movie. but the connections between people is the major goal of this movie. the relation between father and son, brothers, and nature!
just watch the movie and enjoy the soundtracks, the acts, cinematography and direction of it. the narration is a little bit slow and boring but tolerable.

The last point is to pay attention to this question of mine that involved my mind for a while:
Which character of this movie do you think you are the most?

Irreversible

if u can stand its very first minutes, then you're welcomed to Gaspar Noe's dizzy world. a world created to destroy your visual thoughts and there is no scape but leaving the theater or turning the video player off, i mean that as some leaved earlier at the Cannes festival short after the movie starts on the screen.

it's a story based on revenge, Marcus(Vincent Cassel), who goes after the man raped his girlfriend, Alexandra(Monica Bellucci). the movie isn't regular and the scenes are edited inverse. the cinematography is really awesome and i think it is the only strong point of this movie, no more!

remembering this movie's scenes really annoys me, i think the world could be better than Gasper Noe's Irreversible, people could be better than the man who just watched that rape and ignored it.

i don't know even is it a good experience watching this movie or not, but i don't recommend.

IP Man

he's hero, at least, mine. i really liked the story and its impressive appeal along movie. some could find this film boring because its action scenes but i think beyond them, there is a man which behaves kind of strangely with the people around. his lifestyle his wife even his look, all of them attracts you to watch it. but let me clear one thing with you, you're not gonna face a movie which includes a deep signification in it.its a normal (maybe a bit normal!) life of a Chinese Kung-fu master, which tries to save his family during the war between them and Japan and at the end he sacrifices himself for his country.

the last scene of IP Man 1 is the beginning of IP Man 2, where they take injured Ip Man to Hong Kong. there, he starts to found a martial arts club and in this way,he faces different problems ahead, and these problems ends to defending china and its prestige, surely, he wins. i think it is the dark side of all movies which are character based, in the stereotype way, characters are the one who is the winner at the end.

beside, the actor, Donnie Yen done a nice job. IP Man was master of grate martial arts actor and director, Bruce Lee, and there is a short scene which he comes to IP Man and asks him for teaching Kung-fu, Ip man replies:Come back here when u grow up...
I really enjoyed watching it, i hope u to experience same feeling
